TITAN Cement Group and the innovation agency Youthnest (now among), after recognizing both the needs and the challenges of young professionals in Thessaloniki (25-35 years old), present for the first time the together initiative.
The idea of together was born in Thessaloniki in the midst of the pandemic, when among other challenges, young people -and not only- had to abruptly redefine their habits and daily lives, without any warnings and without planning. This condition created new needs for professional and personal development.
We work from home a minimum of 8 hours/day and we now find it difficult to interact and have fun with our friends, to raise children and to travel. We find it difficult to invest in our careers and futures, while at the same time maintaining a balance between personal, professional life and a… digital burn out.
In an effort to understand what is troubling the young professionals of Thessaloniki, we started a multifaceted research, in which, through online and live interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, etc. we understood their needs.
Listening to these young professionals talk about digital isolation, a lack of interpersonal relations, the limited professional networking scene in Thessaloniki, we were confronted with a social phenomenon that we want to embrace, understand and improve through together!
Together supports young professionals in Thessaloniki through a holistic 5-month program with 4 pillars of action:
Getting familiarised with the global trends of professional skills (soft & hard skills) that will be transferred to the job market of Thessaloniki.
Enhancing the confidence of young professionals in their skills and knowledge.
Improving the balance between personal and professional life.
Strong networking opportunities, to create new ideas, start-ups and opportunities to remain in the job market of Thessaloniki.
The registration form has closed.
In the 21st century, the strengthening of professional skills “soft & hard skills” is considered a given for young professionals, but it’s not being sufficiently supported in the environment of Thessaloniki.
The 1st pillar of toget skills is coming to close this gap. Along with 150 young professionals from Thessaloniki that are looking for a more specialised skill program, based on the strengths and weaknesses of the market in Thessaloniki, we will select 2 soft & hard skills each month, in which we want to be trained.
Undoubtedly, the experience and specialisation of the professionals was and is an inspiration.
A young professional is not always given the privilege to converse and be guided by an experienced accountant, lawyer, communication specialist etc., and that’s what we’ll discover at the pillar toget inspiration with monthly trainings by a professional accountant, lawyer etc.
In a high-speed society, stressful lifestyles are now the norm at work, in commuting, in interpersonal relationships. The effects of this modern way of life vary and, among others, can be overtime work, burnout/over exhaustion, inability to concentrate due to fatigue, etc.
The absence of balance between work and personal life is obvious, especially during the pandemic. At the pillar toget wellbeing we will discover ways to unload our daily life, while we will also discover the factors that affect the quality of life, and also, work.
Communication between us, people who live and work in Thessaloniki, is the most basic means to achieve the development of sustainable relationships. In the last 2 years, the conditions of the pandemic have highlighted the catalytic role that the transition to the digital age has for the maintenance of social interaction and the professional activity of people.
At the pillar toget network we will create events, speed dating and networking opportunities involving 150 participants, with the community partners of the program and with entities of our city.
The innovation of the 5-month program together is that it will be implemented using the “Agile” method, meaning all actions during it will be selected and improved through feedback from the participants.
You will be equipped with the most sought after hard & soft skills of the Greek job market.
You will have the opportunity to talk to specialised professionals, have your questions answered and get inspired to improve professionally, whatever your industry may be.
You’ll balance your professional and personal life, improving the relationship with yourself and those around you.
You’ll network with other young professionals that share the same needs as you.
You’ll be informed about the opportunities and new developments in your city.
Then this program is for you! Together invites all young people of Thessaloniki with professional experience, regardless of industry and type of work, both from the public and private sector.
