Organisational development for ELIZA

A complete series of 8 topics customised to the needs of the association.

What was this?

A complete series of 8 topics customised to the needs of the association.

Our collaboration with the ELIZA Association started in May 2022 for a series of 8 workshops and we are truly grateful that our work can strengthen the work of such organisations.

The project "Circle of Defenders of the Rights of the Child", that provided educational services, is executed within the program Active citizens fund *, implemented by ELIZA - Company against Child Abuse.

The €12m Active citizens fund program is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and is part of the European Economic Area (EEA) funding mechanism for the period 2014 - 2021, also known as EEA Grants. The program aims to strengthen and enhance the sustainability of civil society and to highlight its role in promoting democratic processes, enhancing citizen participation in communities and defending human rights. The operation of the Active citizens fund for Greece has been jointly undertaken by the Boddosaki Foundation and SolidarityNow. For more information: www.activecitizensfund.gr

Methodology

As in all of our workshops, strategic planning is based on the following values:

Interactivity: A process of designing and implementing a workshop that takes into consideration different ways of learning, interacting and teamwork.

Professionalism: A professional facilitator with flexibility, contagiousness and creativity, who takes into account the needs of the participants throughout the workshop.

Safe space: A digital space in which participants feel comfortable with expressing themselves, interact with respect and participate actively, effectively and as a team.

Conclusions: Having a clear goal, conclusions and knowing the next steps, so that what was discussed during the workshop is implemented practically.

Impact

At Youthnest (now among) we share knowledge and practical tools, so that each organisation can overcome its challenges and lay solid foundations for its future plans. The series of 8 trainings was designed exclusively for the needs of the Eliza Association, so that the knowledge can have practical application, as we know that each organisation is unique and that there is no golden rule for every one.

During the 3 months of training, the members of the association strengthened their knowledge on important topics that directly concern the proper operation of the Association and its sustainability. At the same time, they learned how to set up their projects more effectively, manage their partners smartly and to proudly present their results.

We are optimistic that our contribution will have a multiplier effect on society as a whole through the great work of the ELIZA Association, creating a better environment in which we live and operate in.
